This happens to alot of people when they're trying to fix their printing quality....which usually happens when new cartridges are replaced. The printouts just doesn't look right....with lines going through borders and ink spots here and there.
So...what do they do?
Yes! They will do a deep printhead clean. . .but most of time they will need to run this function for at least 2 times until the printouts will become normal again.
So, everything looks good and they're FINALLY able print their own things (documents, assignments, photos...etc). But after the very first print....they start checking the ink level and only to realize that all their cartridges are now half full.
How could this be??
Afterall, the cartridges were brand new and all they did was fixing up their print quality by running a few printhead cleans....and maybe 1 full page of test print.
Well....this is exactly where the problem is. You see, everytime you run a printhead clean. You're consuming ALOT OF INK!!!
That's right!
Not sure if this is a trick big companies are playing with us, but this is the reality....!!!
Therefore, most printers that are on the market today will give you 2 cleaning functions. One will be the "Simple Mode" and the other will be the "DEEP CLEAN" mode. Obviously, one will consume more ink than the other, but these will be the 2 options you get.
While this is not something any of us can avoid. It is highly recommended that you try to use the "Simple Mode" whenever possible because a deep clean will consume much more ink than the other.
That's why i always try to recommend people to use laser printers where ever possible. Of course, toner cartridges are much more expensive than inkjet, but overtime you will start to realize the it's actually a much more cost-effective solution. Especially if you're using it for your business, schools, university, home office where printing is happening everyday.
This way, you never have to worry about being forced to waste ink ever again....
Happy Printing!
